Our studio features world class microphones, analogue and digital recording equipment. We realise this means nothing without a wide selection of drum kits, pedal effects, rack effects, tube amps, and an attention to detail from acoustic treatment to quality cables and headphones that makes working with us simple and effective.
Verden Studios is a real recording studio based in Edinburgh. Our ethos is to offer a true hybrid experience combining the best of analogue and digital recording. We use world class analogue preamplifiers and outboard equipment twinned with modern computer recording technology and audio processing plugins to enable us to access the warmth of analogue recording tone and the efficiency and editing capability of computer based workflow. This also allows us to quickly integrate with home studios, outside engineers and reproduction houses.
In addition Verden recording customers have access to a host of legendary amplifiers, guitars, drumkits, a wide palette of foot & rack effects, the best quality cables and interconnections, and acoustically treated rooms.
Our main recording suite is a great sounding live drum room and live vocal area. In addition we have 3 separate acoustically dead isolation rooms for recording guitars, supporting instrumentation and voiceover work.
We offer full all-analogue signal paths from world-class microphones to tape, and full digital signal chains with the best the computer world has to offer.
In addition we offer full passive equalization, tube gain staging, optical compression, op-amp and transformer balanced preamps including Neve, JLM, Groove Tubes, Sebatron and RME, together with a properly configured mastering/monitoring chain featuring Hafler solid-state amplifiers and Dynaudio reference-grade speakers.
Whether you want to record your voice and make a CD for fun or as a present, or whether you need programmers and musicians to take your ideas and turn them into produced music, we offer a 4000 square foot facility with everything a musician could need.
Verden offers a range of recording packages designed to suit your needs; from the full Weekend Deal (approx 25-hours of recording) to the 1-hour, 1-song Pop-Star Package; an ideal gift for a loved (or hated) one.

1-Day DEAL £150
Looking for gigs? weekdays 10-5pm with half an hour break. Record and mix a demo or spend the day tracking and take files away with you.
2-Day DEAL £250
weekdays 10-5pm with half an hour break. Record one day, mix and overdub the next.
