The closing date for entries to the Verden Pro demo fund has now passed and the next band Verden will be working with is The Industry
Only formed fully in 2010, The Industry are a five piece from Edinburgh, consisting of Grace Sutherland on vocals, Euan O’Donnell and Charlie Sutherland on guitars, Rosa Good on bass and Sean Munro on the drums. They play an exciting mix of melodic indie-rock originals with a handful of well-chosen covers.
The band played its debut gig in June 2010 at the Citadel in Leith as part of the 2010 Leith Festival. After a quiet summer, they were back onstage at the Electric Circus supporting Curators and Underclass and have since played live sets at Cabaret Voltaire in November and Studio 24 in early December.
Verden is a rehearsal & recording studio situated in Portobello - 10 minutes drive from Edinburgh’s city centre (free parking). Verden now has 6 rehearsal rooms available at an hourly rate and a state-of-the-art recording studio, as well as a repair service and gear shop selling anything you might need in your session e.g. guitar strings, drum-sticks, snacks, refreshments. Verden also provide storage space for instruments and equipment. We are open weekdays from noon - midnight and usually something similar at weekends
