Verden Demo – Calling all young bands

Verden Studios in association with Creative Scotland are proud to announce a fantastic opportunity for young bands based in Edinburgh or East Lothian.

WANTED: EMERGING YOUNG BANDS TO BENEFIT FROM CREATIVE SCOTLAND FUNDED RECORDING OPPORTUNITY

Make a high quality 2-track recording for use in promoting your band.

Produced at Verden Studios, this includes two full days of recording plus mixing.

It also includes a photo shoot and a consultation with a professional promoter.

This will be tailored to your band’s requirements.  The promoter will work with you to make a promotional plan, put together an electronic press kit and inform you about the music industry; e.g. how to appeal to a record label, writing a biography, where to send your music, negotiating contracts, information about the Musicians Union (MU) and Performing Right Society. (PRS)

This fund is aimed at helping emerging young bands to record their first demo and to present themselves professionally to the music industry.

All musical styles will be considered.  We are searching for bands or solo artists who have a positive attitude, determination, commitment and great tunes but are lacking a demo with which to promote themselves.

Restrictions: You must all be under the age of 25 and be based in Edinburgh or East Lothian.
